sexually transmitted diseases (STD) and health training programs. |

Education Improvement |

| Emphasis is on increasing the quality of
education through teacher training and a school-based management approach, vocational
training (automotive repair, welding, electrical repair), functional literacy, and
institutional strengthening of partner groups. PTNNT also provides scholarships to 851
students every year and runs a mobile library for the communities. |

Local Business & Agriculture
Development |

To promote local businesses as an engine
for sustained economic growth and income generation, with a focus on small businesses by
providing training and facilitation. A Local Business Initiative has been established to
increase the purchase of local goods and services, and to enable local businesses to meet
PTNNT requirements. Agricultural development is emphasized on agricultural intensification and better farming
systems to increase farmers income. |

Infrastructure Development |
|
| Basic infrastructure is developed in
partnership with local governments to support health and education improvements, and to
facilitate business development. Major infrastructure projects include road improvements
and drainage repair, school rehabilitation and construction, clinic construction, water
supply, irrigation, rubbish landfills, traditional markets and tourism facilities. |
